Alice Tien O.D.

Dr. Alice Tien has been practicing optometry for about 20 years. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Texas at Austin, and continued on to receive both her Doctorate of Optometry and Bachelor of Science degree in Vision Science from Illinois College of Optometry in 1998. Dr. Tien has served as the affiliated Managing Optometrist at many LensCrafters locations throughout California, which included San Jose, Mission Viejo, Carlsbad, and Irvine. She is currently a member of the Quality Assurance Committee, a committee ensuring that all LensCrafters affiliated optometrists will provide the highest standard of care to all their patients. Dr. Tien has been involved in OneSight foundation which is an organization that provides the charity eye exams and glasses around the world. She especially loves working with children to provide them with the optimum visual function in their learning.

Since Dr. Tien was born in Taiwan, she can also speak both Chinese and Taiwanese fluently. Currently, Dr. Tien resides in Irvine, and she is also involved in PTA in IUSD for her children. During her spare time, Dr. Tien appreciates life with her husband and two sons. She enjoys local cuisine, fine art, and yoga. Modern fashion and interior design are also passions she takes pleasure in.
