Avani Patel O.D.

Dr. Avani Patel grew up in the surburbs of Chicago, IL and moved to California atfer graduating from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2009.  Dr. Patel completed her undergraduate studies in Bioengineering at the Univerisity of Illinois at Chicago.  She currently practices in Fresno, CA and holds sublease locations in Roseville, Fair Oaks, Visalia and Monterey, CA.  Dr. Patel and her husband (and Managing Director) are passionate about growing their empire and providing vision care to patients all across California.  

Dr. Patel has been with Lenscrafters since 2006, when she started working as a sales associate while in Optometry school.  She joined Lenscrafters as a Managing Optometrist in 2009, shortly after graduating.  Dr. Patel promoted to the role of Regional Director of Eyecare in 2013.  This position allowed her to help her collegues grow their practices, build stronger retail partnerships, and elevate the quality of care and patient experience.  As RDE, Dr. Patel, had the unique opportunity to be an advocate on behalf of the retail optometry.  She worked on legislative efforts which impacted the way optometrist are allowed to practice in California.  In 2018, after the birth of her seocnd daugther, Dr. Patel transisitioned from the RDE role to a Sublease holder to spend more time with her family. 

Dr. Patel and her husband have 2 beautiful daugthers, Aastha and Suhani.  When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, crafting, baking, and watching movies!  Dr. Patel looks forward to joining the CALCS so she can help California sublease doctors grow personally and professionally!
